Here is a teaser to an upcoming series I’m helping out with UI for.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, since 2009 in fact. Well since then I’ve acquired a Playstation 3 which I’ve been carefully been building a collection of games for; unlike back in my young young days where I just bought any game I thought looked cool or was cheap. In this post I give my first impressions on Medal of Honor which I’ve had two nights to play.
First a chronological history of First Person Shooters [FPS] I’ve played on the PS3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – May 2010
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – August 2010
Medal of Honor Limited Edition – October 2010
What it is
It’s like any other FPS that I’ve already played, short story (from what I’ve heard and to be completed), same multiplayer layout. On the box it advertises an invite to test the beta Battlefield 3, a remastered version of Medal of Honor Frontline, and “Instantly unlock an exclusive multiplayer weapon and get early access to two high-powered shotguns*. Plus, be one of the first to play the highly anticipated Battlefield 3™!**”"
What I like
- It’s very responsive. Bringing up the gun to aim is a lot more quicker than any of the previous FPS I’ve played
- The story is relevant to the war going on now
- The graphics seems to be the best out of the 3 FPS games I own
What I don’t like
- In multiplayer there are two sides, the US military and middle eastern fighters. Although each round teams switch roles, it seems kinda messed up to play as “terrorists.”
- Campaign mode doesn’t provide much of a challenge on Hard difficulty
- It takes a while for the game to load up to reach the main menu
Other Thoughts
- For the beta of Battlefield 3, I’ve read that once you enter the code inside for Medal of Honor, that you will be contacted within 12 months to test it agreeing the beta terms and such.
- I have not seen any of these guns that come with the limited edition game or I haven’t done something correctly to get them.
